Keep Calm, We're the Virgins

Engagement Photoshoot (80 of 148).jpg

When the day finally came, I made sure I didn’t let my nerves show and I certainly made sure I didn’t express them.

In the beginning, I took many test shots. Many of those shots weren’t even suppose to be “test”. I was struggling with posing them correctly against/with the sun.

When we started walking up the “mountain” that is when I stopped thinking and just let them do them and I just captured it.

There were certain shots that I was asked to take and I won’t lie, it didn’t turn out right, but it wasn’t for a lack of effort that I did it.

The best shots were the shots that they were just showing each other love without being told what to do.

Every photoshoot offers new challenges. Every new client offers new experiences. With this particular shoot the biggest challenge for me was to impress the very man who knows my weakness and my potential.

Ray Virgin, happens to be my boyfriend’s Dad. He also happens to be a huge supporter and team member of Flatline Cinema. He helps with the majority of my shoots and I can always count on him to give me feedback.

When they asked me to take their engagement photos of course I would say YES! However, every part of me was nervous about screwing things up. It’s one thing to mess up a clients photoshoot and its even worst when your client is someone that is basically family.

Am I happy with the results? Absolutely.

If I could go back, would I change anything? Probably.

Final Thoughts? I am proud of myself with this one. This was my first engagement photoshoot and I am honored to say that it was with these two beautiful and supportive souls that I can call family.
