Let’s Get PERSONAL!!

My name is Geneley Childress and I was born in Oak Harbor, Washington but raised in Atlanta,Georgia since I was 4. I am half Black and half Filipino & I take pride in being mixed.

I received a Bachelors Degree in Film and Video at Georgia State University in 2016.

My passion for film and video started at a young unaware age. My mother is the head honcho of archiving and documenting our everyday lives, eventually, she put me in charge of capturing EVERYTHING. Later, I took the camera and started recording parodies and dance videos with my friends and dance crew. Then began the very early and amateur stages of Flatline Cinema (FLC).

Once graduating from college, I found it hard to receive a job/position in the media field without having a ridiculous amount of “experience” for an entry-level position. Therefore I took matters into my own hand and launched Flatline Cinema full time.

I consider FLC a platform that visually markets and promotes brands and labels. A platform that captures moments that becomes lifetime memories. A platform that recognizes the shadows and sheds light upon it/them. Visually giving everyone a platform to be seen.
